A Clareman has been appointed as the new CEO of the Western Development Commission.
Quin-native Tomás Ó Síocháin has taken up the role, after serving in different roes with NUI Galway, and previously RTE and TG4.

The Western Development Commission advises Government on policy for the western region, with a key interest in regional development.
Mr. Ó Síocháin has said there is now a significant opportunity to support economic, social and cultural growth here.
