Earlier this month, Minister Ruairi Quinn announced 70 million euro in funding as he re-introduced Minor Works Grants and the Summer Works Scheme, but was warned by local teaching representatives that the effect would be minimal if this investment was a one-off.
Speaking on Clare FM’s Morning Focus today, Minister Quinn said he realised the value of this work, and how it was particularly beneficial to the county’s smallest schools.
