Quin Campaigner Says Ball In Health Minister’s Court On Medical Card Reform

A Quin man diagnosed with terminal cancer says he will have one final meeting with the Health Minister next week in his campaign to reform medical cards for the terminally ill.

Terminal illness cards are only granted to those who have a prognosis of less than 12 months to live but John Wall believes this is too short, and wants it doubled to two years as an interim measure.

John Wall spoke to Health Minister Stephen Donnelly on Budget night and again yesterday in an attempt to address the issue.
