Shannon representatives have warned that scrutiny is still needed on government plans for the future of the the airport.

Its separation from the DAA has been broadly welcomed by residents, businesses and councillors alike in the Shannon region who feels its the shot in the arm long since needed for the area.
However while the airport will achieve a debt free status- questions still remain over how it will be funded into the future.
