Further Questions of Government’s Aviation Plans

A prominent Clare hotelier has expressed disappointment over the government’s aviation policy, which is targeting significantly more growth at Dublin Airport than Shannon.

The policy, which includes plans for a third terminal at Dublin, states that its passenger numbers could double to 61 million by 2050.

By contrast, it targets only an additional 2 million passengers for Shannon in that timeframe.

He has also questioned the wisdom of the government’s plans.
