Threshold says more than a quarter of Clare households who’ve contacted them this year were facing eviction.
188 households in the county have reached out to the organisation for support since January, with 41% contacting the service about tenancy termination and 26% having already received a notice of termination.

Threshold is calling on the government to consider introducing longer-term leases and tax breaks to keep landlords in the market.
Western Regional Services Manager, Karina Timothy says there has been a hige increase in the numbers contacting them since the pandemic and she’s urging those facing eviction to do the same.
