It’s claimed concerns about public safety in Clare have now reached a “crisis point”.
The Safer Clare Campaign is launching a petition calling for the reopening of Garda stations, an increase in Garda numbers and expanded access to domestic violence refuge spaces in this county.

The Campaign is seeking the support from local residents to join the movement for safer communities, with representatives visiting towns and villages throughout Clare over the coming weeks, gathering signatures in person.
Chairperson of Safer Clare Campaign and Kilmurry McMahon based Aontú representative, June Dillon says the lack of a visible garda presence has led to a feeling of “helplessness” among many communities.
