Public Realm upgrades will commence at a key civic space in Shannon today under the town and village renewal scheme.
The works will take place at Drumgeely Square and will involve a series of enhancements to existing infrastructure.

The development will include the installation of a canopy, street furniture, new paving and pedestrian paths as well as a 70sq metre grass open area equipped with floral displays.
The project was one of ninety-nine selected for government funding last year, receiving an allocation of €225,000.
