Public Health Mid-West Urging Adults To Avail Of Covid Booster Vaccine Due To Surge In Cases Locally

The Department of Public Health Mid-West is urging adults aged 18 and older to avail of their free COVID-19 booster vaccine.

The department say they are experiencing a significant surge in COVID-19 infections in the community due to the increase in socializing over the festive period which is putting further pressure on public health services.

You can book a booster appointment online at HSE vaccination clinics on www.hse.ie, while booster vaccines may also be available at participating pharmacies and GPs.

Dr Marie Casey, Consultant in Public Health Medicine at Public Health Mid-West, is calling on all adults aged 18 and over to check if they are eligible for their booster vaccination.
