Supporters and opponents of the proposed development of an extended pier at Doolin are being urged to have their say on the project today.

Clare County Council says the improved pier is a critically important development for North Clare, but many local surfers are opposed to the plan.
They say the expanded pier could have a devastating impact on the world class waves there.
A public consultation event on the proposed development is being held in Hotel Doolin from 3:00 – 8:00 today – Senior Engineer with Clare County Council Tom Tiernan says the pier could have a wide ranging and positive economic impact
