Clare County Council has announced that it’s to further extend it’s deadline for public consultation on the controversial Limerick Northern Distributor Road.
Residents, who have expressed concerns that the roads preferred route will split the village of Parteen and travel through a flood plan in Clonlara, now have until May 11th to register complaints with the local authority.
A further public information event on the road will also be held, though details of this have yet to be confirmed.
The news has been welcomed by Meelick Councillor Cathal Crowe, who was going to ask the Council to extend the deadline at their next monthly meeting this coming Monday.
