The athlete shot and killed the 30-year-old model in his home last year – insisting he mistook her for an intruder.
The maximum penalty for culpable homicide is 15 a year jail term.
Oscar Pistorius has been released on bail – after an application to hold him in custody until his sentencing on October 13th – was rejected.
