It’s argued the current proposal for the Ennis Post Office Field Project is highly problematic and would be disastrous for the local wildlife.
As part of Ennis 2040 DAC’s decision to pause development plans at Abbey Street and Harvey’s Quay, the post office field project is also set to be reviewed.
The proposed development of the field would involve the installation of an elevated boardwalk, a looped riverside walk and playground facilities.
Hands Off Ennis Post Office Field Chairperson, Martin Vernon, says the site should instead be permanently designated as a wildlife conservation.
