A prominent Ennis solicitor has predicted that more drink driving cases could be dismissed from courts, in light of a recent High Court judgement.

The Court ruled that the results of alcohol breath tests must be supplied in English and Irish when it found a Romanian national not guilty of drink driving as a result.
This is currently being appealed, but on the basis of this decision, 15 cases were dismissed at Ennis District Court yesterday.
Darragh Hassett of Hassett Considine Solicitors expects that more could follow.
