Jill Meagher’s father has paid an emotional tribute to the 29 year old at her funeral in Melbourne, Australia.

George McKeon told hundreds of mourners of her unique personality and her passion for life in an hour long private ceremony in Fawkner Memorial Park.
It ended with the release of 29 doves – one for each year of Jill’s life.
Jill was abducted and killed after a night out in Melbourne last month – a 41 year old man has been charged in connection with her death.
George McKeon told the congregation that Jill is never far from his thoughts.
Thousands of people are expected to attend a memorial mass for Jill in her home town of Drogheda, Co. Louth this evening.
The ceremony takes place at St Peter’s Church at 7 o’clock.
