Farming groups in North Clare say they're delighted with the attention paid to their conservation agriculture by Prince Charles and the exposure it will give to the hard work and dedication of 160 Burren farmers.

During the Clare part of the historic visit, the Prince was guided around Slieve Carron by members of the Burren Beo Trust and Burren Life Projects as well as school children from the nearby Carron and Boston National Schools.

The Burren Beo Trust, Burren Life and the local IFA expressed their satisfaction following the successful visit of Prince Charles to Slieve Carron.

Today, the Prince's visit takes a more personal turn today as he travels to the site where his great uncle Lord Louis Mountbatton was killed by the IRA.

Charles and Camilla will attend a service in the village of Mullaghmore and meet some of those involved in the rescue effort at the time.
