Primary School Pupil Numbers In Clare Drop By 5% Since 2017

The number of pupils attending primary school in Clare has dropped by more than five percent in the last five years.

New figures from the Central Statistics Office show there were 13,046 students recorded in primary schools in this county in 2022.

It’s a drop of 700 on the number of pupils enrolled in Clare back in 2017.

The CSO says there are 110 registered primary schools in this county, a drop of two from five years ago.
