The price for a new rental tenancy in Clare has jumped by over 10% in the last year.
The latest report from Daft.ie shows the average monthly cost for new renters in the first quarter of the year was €1,503.
New tenants are forking out an average of €147 more on rent to start 2025 than they were a year ago.
Rent prices in the county continue to skyrocket, with this increase of 10.4% following a 9.5% jump to start 2024.
The biggest increase was seen in the cost of newly letting a five bed house.
On average tenants paid out €1,641 a month for these properties, up 16.5% on the €1,406 charged in the first three months of last year.
New rents for two bed houses saw the next greatest hike up 9.8% from €1,035 in 2024 to €1,152 a month to start 2025.
Three and four bed houses saw increases of 9.1% and 8.2%, costing new tenants €1,344 and €1,545 respectively.
While the cost of newly renting an apartment in the Banner county rose by 8% to €970 to start the year.
