Price Of Renting In Clare 24% Lower Than Boom Despite Record Prices Elsewhere

The average price of renting accomodation in Clare remains 24% lower than its peak in the boom, despite tenants paying the highest prices in history, in other parts of the country.

Tenants in the county are paying 532 euro per month on average, compared 703 euro in 2007, however there has been a 6% rise in prices since this time last year.

Killaloe remains the most expensive place to live in the banner county, while Kilrush in one of the cheapest areas to rent a home.

Prices in Dublin have now surpassed Celtic Tiger levels but Newmarket-On-Fergus based Estate Agent Patricia McCarthy says that's not the case here.
