Pressure is mounting on the Chief Executive of Rehab to reveal her salary.
Justice Minister Alan Shatter sparked a row with the organisation last night when he revealed that Rehab made a profit of less than 10 thousand euro on scratch card sales worth nearly 4 million in 2010.
He also questioned a ‘costly’ legal action the charity’s taken against the state – Rehab has issued a statement demanding an apology.
Despite calls for transparancy in light of the CRC controversy, Rehab boss Angela Kerins has so far refused to reveal how much she earns in the post, but Minister for Social Protection Joan Burton feels openness in the sector is very important
