Pressure On Mid West Health Services Expected To Intensify This Year

Pressure on health services in the Mid West is expected to intensify over the coming months.

The HSE has predicted a 13 percent rise in the number of people across Clare, Limerick and Tipperary over the age of 85, posing a major challenge for health professionals here.

A budget of €380 million has been allocated to the HSE for community services this year, with the biggest portion earmarked for social care for people with disabilities.
