President Of LIT Backs Controversial Northern Distributor Road

The President Of LIT says a controversial road, which would run through South East Clare provides an opportunity to future proof the development of the region.

Limerick Institute of Technology has given it’s backing to the Limerick Northern Distributor Road, which it say will create a “knowledge corridor” between it and the University of Limerick.

Opposition remains against the route in some Clare communities, and while it’s been given the go-ahead by Councillors, a review is to be carried out following amendments to the the proposed route on the Limerick side.
