President Michael D.Higgins is leading tributes to disability rights activist Martin Naughton, who has passed away at the age of 62.

The Spiddeal native, who has family in Kilkee, had muscular distrophy and fought for a long number of years on behalf of people with disabilities.
President Higgins has discribed Martin as an inspiration, saying he struggled for equality in Ireland and internationally.
