President To Appoint Whelan To Court Of Appeal

The President will appoint Máire Whelan to the Court of Appeal today.

The former Attorney General was given the job during Enda Kenny’s final Cabinet meeting as Taoiseach.

But there have been numerous objections to the way in which she got it.

Fianna Fáil TD John Mc Guinness has threatened to ‘pull down the Government’ over the appointment.
