Predictions Clare People Will “Suffer Immensely” If Wind Farm Goes Ahead

It’s being argued people in Clare will “suffer immensely” as a result of a proposed renewable energy development along the county’s west coast.

With An Bórd Pleanála due to make a decision on the development in late July, Clare’s councillors debated the issue at this week’s meeting and their comments are to be appended to the application as a submission.

Kilrush Independent Councillor Ian Lynch has put in a personal submission and he believes as the plans currently stand, Galway will reap the benefits while Clare people will experience the most disruption.
