Prayer Row Shows Fragmented Opposition, Says Breen

A Clare government representative says the row amongst TDs over the Dáil prayer shows that the opposition is fragmented.

Junior Minister Pat Breen has been speaking after TDs voted to make it mandatory for Deputies to stand during the prayer at the start of business each day.

There will also be 30 seconds of silence after the prayer for personal reflection, but opponents to the measure say it has no place in a secular Republic.
