The Minister for Health recently announced a new €350m plan to cut queues to their shortest in five years, however this was met with criticism from the Irish Hospital Consultants Association for not dealing with the cause of delays to treatment.

UHL’s Dr. Catherine Motherway believes top-down management in the healthcare system isn’t always helpful.
