Independent TD Mattie McGrath is part of a group which wants a High Court injunction to stop a vote from taking place.

The group, which includes former M-E-P Kathy Sinnott, says the bill includes two provisions which have already been rejected in referendums.

They argue that the Oireachtas can’t introduce laws which go in direct conflict with the results of previous referendums.
