A Clarecastle Postmaster says he and his colleagues have been left shocked by reports that up to 200 post offices could soon be closed.
It comes as Postmasters will stage a protest at the GPO in Dublin this morning over cost saving plans by An Post.
The Irish Post Masters’ Union is calling on the Government to intervene, claiming the company is engaging in a ‘solo run’ instead of implementing the Bobby Kerr report, which considers both the commercial and social aspect of An Post services.
