IPSOS-MRBI conducted this survey on behalf of the National Oversight and Audit Commission, and found 69% of people in Clare are satisfied with the local Council – that’s the highest rate of any local authority in Ireland.

60% also said that the Council is doing a good job – only three Councils had a higher positve response rate to this question.

Clare’s Council was also found to have scored slightly better than average in terms of informing people, in being open and transparent and promoting economic activity.

The local authority had one of the highest scores nationwide in terms of providing value for money. Here, however, just 40% of people praised the Council in this regard.
