Irish soldiers are living in squalor according to a new report into the Defence Forces.
Researchers from the University of Limerick spoke with over 600 soldiers and found poor living standards, low pay and morale are all leading to declining numbers of people willing to serve.
According to the Irish Examiner the quarters in Dublin’s Rathmines Barracks are said to be in the worst condition – with the building earning the nickname ‘Hotel Rwanda’ amongst the ranks.
