Senator David Norris has topped a poll of Ireland’s presidential hopefuls.
According to a poll in today’s Irish Independent, he’s got the support of 21 per cent of just over 1,000 people surveyed.

Labour’s Michael D Higgins is in second place on 19 per cent.
The poll also shows that Mairead McGuinness has more support than any of her rivals for the Fine Gael nomination, at 10 per cent.
