Sinn Féin To Hold Convention To Fill Late Mike McKee’s County Council Seat

Sinn Féin will hold a convention in early January with a view to filling its vacant seat in Clare before the first 2020 meeting of the county council.

The party’s only elected representative in Clare, Shannon Councillor Mike McKee, passed away following a cancer battle at the end of last month.

In the weeks since his death, the party has been coming together locally, with a view to filling his seat, as well as deciding who will take his place on the General Election ticket for the party.
