Lahinch man Liam Grant is set to be unveiled as Clare’s new Green Party Councillor next month.
The Earth and Ocean Science graduate, who currently works as a retained firefighter in Ennistymon, is to replace Miltown Malbay’s Susan Crawford who resigned her seat back in August.
The 30-year-old will be formally ratified as a member of the local authority at Clare County Council’s October meeting.
