A Clare Independent TD believes the brand name of Shannon Heritage sites is being ‘damaged’ amid continued uncertainty surrounding their future.
The matter is set to dominate this afternoon’s full meeting of Clare County Council, after it emerged the local authority was told by one Government department it would not be receiving Budget funding to facilitate the transfer of the sites.
Negotiations between several departments, as well as the Council and the Shannon Airport Group, are understood to be ongoing.
