Clare Green Party Senator Says Measures To Help Soften Eviction Blow Needed

Clare’s Green Party Senator feels alternative options for tenants faced with eviction should have been rushed through by Government.

Cabinet will sign-off on its response to a Sinn Fein motion to extend the evictions ban this morning, after the three party leaders met last night, when its believed broad agreement was reached on a counter motion due to be tabled in the Dáil later.

On Sunday, the Labour Party has said it would put down a motion of no confidence in the government before the end of the month if it didn’t reverse its decision, while last night the Regional Independents set out eight key demands in return for their support in a motion of no confidence vote in the Government.
