Gardaí Insist Clare Must Not Be Swallowed Up In Changes To Divisions

Rank and file Gardaí insist that Clare must not be allowed to be swallowed up in any changes to Garda divisions.

The Garda Representative Association’s annual conference, which is taking place in Killarney, is discussing change within an Garda Síochána over the coming years, in light of the Future of Policing report published earlier in the year.

Concerns have emerged that impending changes could result in the Clare and Galway Garda Divisions being amalgamated, though senior Gardaí have ruled this out in the immediate term.
