Clare JPC Chair Says New Chief Super Being Based In Ennis Is ‘Very Positive’

The Chair of Clare’s Joint Policing Committee says the new Chief Superintendent of this county and Tipperary’s Garda divisions being based in Ennis is a ‘very positive’ move.

Colm O’Sullivan has been assigned responsibility for the new division covering both counties and will take up the role next Monday as he transfers from Cork.

However, An Garda Síochána has told Clare FM that the merger, which was due to take place in 2020 but was paused due to the pandemic, “has not yet been completed”.
