The plight of flood-hit home and land owners is set to be raised at the European Environment Commission in Brussels this week.

A cross party delegation is asking for clarity – on whether or not rivers like the Shannon can be dredged in a bid to prevent future disasters.
It's after hundreds of home owners – had to leave their houses as flood waters poured in.
Ireland South MEP, Sin Féin's Liadh Ni Riada has accused of the government of attempting hide behind EU regulations and says dredging can form part of a range of measures to tackle future flooding.
