Plans Lodged To Repurpose Clare Village’s Post Office For Residential Use

The post office of a prominent Clare village could soon be converted to housing under new plans lodged with the local authority.

Stuart McMahon has submitted an application to Clare County Council to repurpose Clarecastle Post Office and adjacent residential accommodation to provide five new apartments.

The apartments would consist of 2x two-bedroom units, 2x one-bedroom unit and one three-bed flat.

The development would also involve the demolition of a garage to the rear, the removal of part of a boundary wall to enable the movement of through traffic and for the construction of car parking and bin storage.
