Permission is being sought by applicant Alanna Brigdale for the development of a dog park in Creggaun with a shelter and parking area alongside modifications to the existing entrance, the installation of signage and completion of all associated site works

The park seeks to provide a space for dogs to run off their leash with drinking water, waste bags and sheltered seating provided.

The application states the site will be secured by a double-gated entry system with access codes given to visitors once a booking has been placed, while a 1.8 metre high boundary fence will surround the perimeter.

A provisional code of conduct is provided in the application, outlining the park’s rules including supervision of pets at all times and not permitting the entry of more than three dogs per adult.

The rule list also states the planned opening hours as between 9am and 8pm or during daylight hours.

Submissions in relation to the application must be in by September 22nd while the local authority must make a decision by October 13th.
