Plans To Install Pedestrian Crossing At Ministers Cross Following Road Safety Concerns

Plans are in the works to put a pedestrian crossing at the Ministers Cross in Bunratty following serious road safety concerns.

A Shannon-based councillor has requested that Clare County Council look at a feasibility study with a view to installing a pedestrian crossing at the site which is situated between Sixmilebridge and Bunratty.

Shannon Municipal District has said that it will liaise with the local authority’s road design office in relation to the request.

Fianna Fáil Councillor Pat O’Gorman says having a pedestrian crossing in place would make pedestrians in the residential area less vulnerable while walking.
