Planning permission has been granted for 43 new homes to be build in Clare in the third quarter of this year.

Figures released by the CSO show the vast majority of the homes in question are single, one-off developments, while permission was also granted for one new flat.
Today's figures show that up to the end of September, permission had been granted for 168 new houses to be built in Co. Clare.
This figure is higher than each of the past three years in total.
