Clare County Council has refused a planning permission request to extend a business park in East Clare.
An application was submitted last June seeking to demolish over 200 metres squared of existing industrial units to allow for the development of five light-use industrial blocks at the Shantraud Business Park in Killaloe.

The industrial estate is already home to a number of businesses including a joinery company and a gym.
The expansion was denied on June 10th.
