Approval has been granted for a controversial data centre in Ennis.
An Bord Pleanála has upheld Clare County Council’s decision to grant planning permission to Art Data Centres Limited for a data centre campus at Tooreen, Tulla Road, Ennis.
The development consists of six data centre halls and associated site works.

Chief Executive of Clare County Council Pat Dowling says the decision “gives effect to a strategic objective of the Council to enable the delivery of a data centre of regional and national scale in line with Government objectives”.
