The planned visit to Ennis by Taoiseach Micheál Martin next week has been formally cancelled.
Micheál Martin was due in the town to launch the Ennis 2040 plan, a long-term strategy for the future development of the county town.

However, the planned event has now been cancelled amid the high levels of COVID-19 in the community.
A Clare County Council spokesperson has told Clare FM that it hopes to re-schedule the launch of the document, with the Taoiseach present, for a later date.
