A plane was diverted to Shannon last night after crew declared a medical emergency.

The Thomas Cook Airlines flight 5828 was enroute from Tenerife to Oslo around 8pm yesterday evening when crew reported an ill passenger on board.
The Airbus A330-300 jet landed at the Mid-west airport just after 8.30pm and a passenger was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.
There were almost 400 passengers and crew on board the holiday jet which resumed its flight shortly afterwards.
