Pieta House is calling on people in Clare who are struggling over the post-Christmas period to reach out to someone they know.
The re-introduction of coronavirus restrictions has led to a significant scaling back of inter-county travel and visits to homes, leading to fears that this could lead to heightened levels of loneliness, and associated mental health difficulties.
Tom McEvoy, Funding and Advocacy Manager with Pieta House, is urging people to not suffer in silence.
He says the first call can bet he most difficult but also the most important one.
Pieta House can be reached by phoning 1800 247 247 or texting HELP to 51444.
