Pieta House insists it's committed to providing bereavement services in Ennis, despite the closure of a weekly clinic in the town.
The clinic had been offered by Console, whose services have now been taken over by Pieta House.
Prior to the recent controversy, Console offered a clinic in Ennis to those in need of bereavement counselling following the suicide of a loved one.
This is now being run by Pieta House, but since the process began the clinic has been discontinued, with those availing of the service offered counselling in Limerick as an alternative.
However, this has not been an option to all of those who had used the service.
In correspondance seen by Clare FM News, one person who had been receiving counselling for four weeks outlined how they couldn't travel to Limerick due to family and work committments.
This person's file has now been transferred to the HSE.
In a statement to Clare FM, Pieta House says the issue arose after the owner of the property where the clinic was held, informed them that they no longer wish to continue the contract for the use of the building.
But the charity says it remains "committed to continuing in Ennis longer term" and is "looking for an alternative building".
Pieta House has provided services to hundreds of people in the MidWest, especially from its facility in Mungret, while over 53,000 euro was raised for the charity in this year's Darkness Into Light Walk in the town.
