Pet Owners Warned To Keep An Eye Out For Potential Risks To Dogs Over Festive Period

Clare’s County Dog Warden is warning pet owners to be cautious of what their dogs are eating over the festive period.

Many dogs require medical attention every Christmas as they mistake decorations and small toys for edible treats.

Materials used in the making of baubles and ornaments, such as anti freeze, are toxic to dogs and may be fatal.

Clare County Dog Warden Frankie Coote is also advising against feeding dogs leftovers from Christmas dinner as it can lead to stomach problems.
